Valerie Goins Whitfield

Creating art is my passion. Media include watercolor, pastel, acrylic, pencil, charcoal, pen & ink- and, mixed media. I also am a printmaker. I invite you to find your joy through mine.

My work has a distinctive use of design, line, and color. It's often is whimsical or an off beat interpretation of reality. "New Fauvism" or abstract expressionism best describes my natural style.

In addition  to creating paintings and one of kind prints, I also make collages. Inspirations include landscapes, seascapes, botanicals and gardens, birds, insects, and architecture. I have had the opportunity to travel extensively in the US, Canada, Italy and France. I have an extensive photography portfolio that I draw upon for references if not creating from life.
