This comprehensive program, structured as an 8-week program, is tailored for those aiming to establish a career in the nonprofit sector within Guilford County. Each phase of the program delves into vital aspects of nonprofit operations, providing participants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills essential for impactful work in various nonprofit roles.

Unique Nonprofit Program in Partnership with Apprenticeship NC:

As the only art-focused nonprofit organization partnered with Apprenticeship NC, we offer a unique and comprehensive path for those aspiring to a career in the nonprofit sector. Our program begins with a pre-apprenticeship course, designed to provide foundational knowledge and skills in nonprofit management.

8 Weeks (4 Weeks Per Phase). Keep in mind that these dates may be subject to change, if necessary. We will provide more detailed schedules for each phase as their respective start dates approach.

Phase 1, March 12 - April 2:

1. Board Governance:

Mastery of nonprofit board roles, responsibilities, and strategic oversight.

2. Project Management:

Fundamentals of managing and executing nonprofit projects efficiently.

3. Nonprofit Marketing:

Techniques for effective marketing and promotion of nonprofit missions.

4. Program Development:

Skills for creating, managing, and evaluating successful nonprofit programs.

Phase 2, April 9 - April 30

1. Budget/Financial Management:

Essentials of fiscal management for financial sustainability in nonprofits.

2. Corporate Giving Proposal Writing:

Crafting persuasive proposals for corporate funding and partnerships.

3. Nonprofit Grant Writing:

Strategies for successful grant acquisition and management.

4. Fundraising Basics:

Introduction to key fundraising tactics and practices.

Certification and Advancement:

Certification is awarded upon completion of both phases, signifying a noteworthy accomplishment in your nonprofit professional development. This program is not limited to the arts sector and is ideal for anyone seeking a career in various nonprofit fields.
