The High Point Arts Council’s 2026 SummerSounds Concert Series offers free live music in the evenings from 6:00–8:00 p.m. throughout the summer. Hosted at local parks, the Town of Jamestown, and the Centennial Station Arts Center, the series brings diverse genres including reggae, big band, Latin, and jazz to the entire community.
This performance features Titus Gant, a jazz saxophonist, educator, and nonprofit founder. A graduate of Claflin University and North Carolina Central University, Gant has shared the stage with Branford Marsalis and Kim Burrell, and performed for President Barack Obama. His work has been featured on NPR’s The State of Things, and his 2022 album, One, blends jazz tradition with spiritual groove. Through his artistry and leadership, Gant continues to shape the cultural and educational landscape of the region.
Concertgoers should bring lawn chairs or blankets. Food trucks will be on-site with refreshments for purchase, though outside alcohol is prohibited. To support our neighbors, attendees are invited to donate non-perishable food and household items to A Simple Gesture at each concert to benefit Guilford County residents in need.
SummerSounds is presented by the High Point Arts Council in partnership with High Point Parks & Recreation and Town of Jamestown’s Music in the Park. This series is made possible by the City of High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina Arts Council, Arts Council of Greater Greensboro, and the High Point Arts Council Arts Fund Donors. SummerSounds at High Point Lawn Jam is sponsored by the High Point Arts Council.
