About this event

SummerSounds is the High Point Arts Council’s 2026 outdoor concert series, featuring free live music in the evening from 6:00–8:00 p.m. Held in parks across High Point, Jamestown, and at the Centennial Station Arts Center, this season offers a vibrant mix of reggae, big band, Latin, and jazz.

Carolina Soul Band, based in Greensboro, delivers the timeless sounds of classic soul and Motown, performing hits made famous by legendary artists such as The Drifters, The Coasters, The Four Tops, The O’Jays, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Smokey Robinson, and The Temptations. Taking audiences on an exciting journey through Motown, beach, and soul music, the band brings decades of hits from the 1950s through the 1990s to life. With an energetic, crowd-pleasing performance style, Carolina Soul Band keeps audiences of all ages clapping, dancing, and singing along to their favorite classics, creating a truly memorable experience for everyone.

Concertgoers should bring lawn chairs and blankets. Food trucks will be on site with food and beverages; however, outside alcohol is prohibited. Attendees are invited to donate non-perishable food and household items to support A Simple Gesture, helping residents of Guilford County in need. The SummerSounds Concert Series is presented by the High Point Arts Council in partnership with High Point Parks & Recreation and Town of Jamestown’s Music in the Park, with support from sponsors including the City of High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina Arts Council, Arts Council of Greater Greensboro and the High Point Arts Council Arts Fund Donors.
