Create Handmade Magic with CVA!

Join Victoria Mercado‑Lues for a hands‑on pottery workshop where you’ll learn fundamental techniques and create your own unique piece to take home!

This workshop is great for artists of any age or experience level—whether you’re a seasoned maker or trying ceramics for the first time. All materials are provided, and your finished work will be kiln‑fired and ready for pickup about two weeks after the event.

Workshop Details

Date: Saturday, February 28th
Time: 11 AM - 2 PM
Location: Greensboro Cultural Center, Room 135
Ages: All ages, artists ages 8–15 must attend with an adult

Fees

$50 per person
Add a child (ages 8–15) for $35

Ceramic pieces will remain in the CVA pottery studio through drying and firing. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for finished artwork.

About the Instructor:

Originally from Florida, Victoria Mercado-Lues is a Mexican-American ceramicist and oil painter who has exhibited her work across the US. She has taught pottery on the wheel to children at Camp Laurel, Maine, teaches art at UNCG, and will be a resident with GROW: Creative Greensboro in August. Victoria earned her BFA from USF and is currently an MFA candidate at UNCG. She is excited to join CVA and continue to share her passion for ceramics!
