Join us for a day filled with art, inspiration, and community spirit in the heart of Stoneville. Everyone from Stoneville is invited to join us at the Sharon Community Center on Saturday, June 8th, from 12 pm, for a unique gathering that promises to unite and uplift through the power of creativity. This public art installation represents the culmination of months of collaboration with the residents of Stoneville, starting from the initial vision, to the hands-on creation with ceramics and painting, and now to the final viewing.
Unveiling of the Mural: Come and see the finished mural, a captivating piece created by local artists Rashaun Wilson, Mila Cornelius, and Meesha Walker.
Mosaic Bench Presentation: Admire the unique mosaic bench crafted from plates, old ceramics, and household items, transformed into a stunning piece by artist Mila Cornelius.
This is a free event, so bring your family and friends to celebrate the completion of our mural and the spirit of Stoneville. See you there!
This is a free event, made possible by our generous sponsors. We are deeply thankful to our main sponsors, the NC Arts Council and Rockingham Arts Council, for their significant contributions. Our appreciation also extends to TAB Arts Center and Sharon Community Outreach Center for their support.
