In this year’s NC Dance Festival, movement meets conversation — not in words, but in the language of the body. Six dances by NC choreographers invite us into exchanges with poetry and technology, narratives and ancestry, the raw truths of lived experience, and the quiet power of imagination. Here, dancers trace invisible lines of connection, unearth histories, and build alternate worlds. They face grief and resilience, identity and memory, with full-bodied artistry. In every step, turn, and stillness, these works remind us that dance can be a dialogue — one that crosses mediums, speaks across generations, and leaves space for us to answer back. Featuring Stewart Owen Dance, Chania Wilson, Tara Mullins, Eric Mullis, Jiwon Ha, and Alyah BakerThe 25-26 NC Dance Festival is sponsored by Andrew Bowen Studios and supported by the NC Arts Council, and a Festival Grant facilitated by The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro, a division of the Designated County Partner, with funding from Guilford County and the North Carolina Arts Council.
