TAG The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards
This three-week journey is an invitation to explore how art and emotions intertwine to create both beauty and self-discovery. Guided by Flavia Nazareth, participants will engage in creative exercises rooted in mindfulness, neuroscience, and expressive arts. Each week introduces new practices and mediums designed to encourage self-expression and reflection, support emotional regulation, relaxation and resilience through creativity, and build community as participants share insights in a safe, encouraging space. Research shows that engaging in art while practicing mindfulness activates neural networks that foster self-awareness and emotional balance. Creative expression helps regulate the nervous system, promotes neuroplasticity, and cultivates resilience—tools you can carry into everyday life. Projects will include both paper-based explorations and canvas pieces, allowing for a balance of experimentation and depth. Whether you’re seeking stress relief, creative inspiration, or personal growth, this class offers space to create and connect. All materials provided.
