Ariel Pocock and Chad Eby: The Ellington-Strayhorn Connection

The composer/songwriter tandem of Edward “Duke” Ellington and Billy Strayhorn generated some of the most memorable songs of the 20th century. While Strayhorn was the lesser-known of the two, his mark on Ellington was unmistakable from the early 1940s until his untimely death in 1967. Ariel and Chad will present some of their best-loved compositions as well as underplayed gems, sung and played with the reverence, wit, and joy that this timeless music deserves!
