The Center for Visual Artists, located in the Greensboro Cultural Center, has an ongoing need for classroom, studio and gallery volunteers.
Gallery Volunteers
Because we are staffed by all part-time employees, and funds are limited, we are ALWAYS glad to have help from volunteers from the community. Whether you're a student who needs to complete service hours or you just want to help your art community thrive, we welcome the support. A few key volunteer jobs we need help with:

In the classroom:
We need assistance for our instructors with the whole art-making process from prep to helping children with their art projects to clean-up (and everything in between!). You'll act as a positive role model to our younger campers and elementary school students while gaining real-life job training under the guidance of our supervising instructors.
When? After school; when school is out for teacher workdays, holidays, etc., during the school year; or in our art camps during summer break, June - August.
Hours: Some School Holidays and Teacher In-Service Days, 8:00am - 5pm / After-School, Monday - Friday, 3 - 6pm / Summer Camp, Monday - Friday, 8am - 1:30pm and/or 12:30pm - 6pm
Studio maintenance:
Art is messy, and we always need helpful hands to keep the CVA looking good! Assist with the maintenance of CVA including cleaning studios, organizing supplies, painting, etc.
When? Throughout the year. This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for large groups. Please call us at 336-333-7475 to be added to our email list, where you’ll see calls for project-specific volunteers periodically.Hours: Monday - Friday, 10am - 5pm. Saturdays may be available for groups to schedule in advance.
