How it works

Apply anytime. Hear back in 7-10 days.

Springboard is rolling admission — there are no deadlines or grant cycles. Submit your idea when you’re ready, and our review team will get back to you quickly.

1. You apply — Tell us about your project, your budget, and what support you need.
2. We review — A small committee reviews your application for feasibility, community impact, and fit with our current capacity.
3. You create — Once approved, we work together to bring your project to life.

What You Can Get

  • Fiscal Sponsorship (we accept tax deductible donation from sponsors on your behalf.)
  • Administrative support (contracts, logistics, planning)
  • Guidance from experienced arts professionals
  • Marketing and publicity through our network
  • Help finding venues and volunteers
  • Fiscal sponsorship (accept tax-deductible donations for your project)
  • Financial support up to $500 (direct expense payments)
  • Insurance coverage for your event
  • Ticketing sales (selling, tax collection and remittance)

Not every project needs everything. Tell us what matters most to you and tailor the support you receive.

Who Can Apply

Springboard is for anyone in Guilford County with a creative project idea that aligns with our mission. You don’t need a business, a nonprofit, or prior experience running events.

Requirements:
– A free Greensboro Arts Hub account
– A completed profile on the site
– A project idea you’re ready to develop

Performances, exhibitions, workshops, festivals, community events — if it’s creative and serves the community, we want to hear about it.

What does it cost?

Springboard is free. There is no charge to apply and no charge if your application is approved. There are two circumstances under which we may collect fees for our involvement:

  1. If you ask us to be a fiscal sponsor so that sponsors can make tax-deductible contributions to your project, we keep 17% of funds raised.
  2. If you sell tickets on our platform, we may charge buyers a fee and we may also ask buyers to make a donation to Greensboro Arts Hub at checkout.

There are no out-of-pocket fees from you to Greensboro Arts Hub.

What to Prepare Before You Apply

The application takes about 15-20 minutes. Here’s what you’ll be asked:

Your Project
– Project name and description. What’s your vision? What will it look and feel like?
– Project type (performance, exhibition, workshop, festival, community event, or other)
– When you’d like to do it and how long it will last
– Venue, equipment and volunteer needs

Your Budget
– Expected income: ticket sales, sponsorships, personal contribution, and how much you’d like us to contribute to expenses
– Expected expenses: venue, equipment, supplies, food, marketing, artist fees, insurance, and other costs
– Don’t worry if your budget is $0 — some projects just need infrastructure support, not money

What Support You Need
– Check off what would help: fiscal sponsorship, ticketing, venue help, marketing, guidance, technical resources, insurance, funding, or volunteers

Supporting Materials (optional)
– Links to work samples (music, video, portfolio)
– Documents like letters of support, sample flyers, or pledges (PDF, images, or presentations)

Tip: You can start an application and save a draft to finish later.
