About

The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro is a community-supported nonprofit organization, and the largest public and private alliance dedicated to sustaining our local arts economy – from nationally recognized programs and projects such as Eastern Music Festival, to community arts organizations such as Casa Azul, artists throughout the Piedmont region, and arts-in-education initiatives. Through the annual ArtsFund Campaign, contributor’s dollars are leveraged by corporate, foundation, and government funding.

We are dedicated to cultivating an inclusive, sustainable, and vibrant community through the support, promotion, and expansion of the arts to lead our community in becoming a place where art thrives. We accomplish this through grants, shared services, technical assistance, professional development and more.

Thanks to the support of many, The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro has contributed much more than grants alone. Since 1960, we’ve worked to support anchor institutions, artists, teachers, festivals, and public art. Today, we combine that work with efforts to strengthen the greater Greensboro area's art ecosystem.
