The Purple Carrots is a collaborative collective of artists united by a shared commitment to creative exploration. Each month, the group responds to a single prompt or subject, using it as a point of departure for individual interpretation. Though the theme remains constant, the resulting works are as varied and distinctive as the artists themselves, reflecting a rich diversity of perspectives, processes, and styles. 

The group includes two sculptors, two oil and watercolor painters, and two mixed media artists, each contributing a unique voice to an ongoing creative dialogue. Through years of consistent collaboration, The Purple Carrots has grown into more than a shared practice. It is a space for fellowship, support, and artistic growth. 

Current members of The Purple Carrots are Ray Martin, Sara Payne, Bob Kowski, Jessamyn Bailey, Jenny Jones Ballard, and Joseph Hodge. Together, they celebrate the power of shared inspiration and the beauty of individual expression.
